Public Policy Committee
The Public Policy Committee identifies key issues that affect the field of early care and education and makes information available to the greater membership. In addition, the committee identifies ways individuals can act independently and/or organizationally as advocates for children and families.

Nicole La Bar, MS Ed is currently designing and starting up a brand new childcare facility in Queens, NY. She was previously the Director of Education and Training at Hale House Center, Inc., a non-profit organization in New York City where she provided staff training and development for the childcare staff of their residential program for infants and toddlers. She has been in the field of early care and education for over thirteen years. Her experience includes directing early childhood programs and classroom teaching. Ms. La Bar received her undergraduate degree from Fordham University and her MS Ed from Lehman College. She has recently published an article in ERIC titled, "Back-Up Childcare: A Quality Alternative to Regular Care which Fosters Resilience in Infants and Toddlers."
