New York State Association for the Education of Young Children recognizes individuals who have dedicated their work, time and resources to children, families and the field of early care and education. The Annual Awards Committee reviews the nominations for NYSAEYC Champions for Children awards.  Nominations are accepted by anyone who wants to recommend a candidate. 

Each year, the honorees are recognized at the Champions for Children Awards Event, held at the Annual NYSAEYC Conference.  The Annual Awards event will take place at Conference 2009 on Friday, May 1st at the Marriott at the Brooklyn Bridge, in Brooklyn, New York.  This ceremony has become a popular event at the conference as we celebrate all of us that serve children and their families and particularly recognize the 2009 NYSAEYC Champions for Children.
